For starters I want to apologize for my absence; I took some time off due to medical issues. Don’t worry, I’m back for good! Now that we’re into the new year, I’ve been focusing on my intentions for 2019. This year I really want to focus on personal growth. 2018 was full of many success, for which I am ever so proud and grateful. Financially it was my most successful year. I accomplished almost every goal I set for myself- I worked so so hard. Now that I’m planning out all of my goals for the new year, I want to look back on what I accomplished last year, as well as some things that didn’t quite work out. There’s a lot of really great habits I incorporated into my everyday routine, so let’s start with those!
Daily habits that worked:
- Listening to a podcast
- Check in on the Flipboard app
- Work out
- Do Yoga
- Wake up at 4am
- Read blog posts
- Eat 1 fruit and 1 veggie
- Sort through emails
- Write in my gratitude journal
Annnnnnd of course there’s quite a few habits that no matter how hard I tried, I just couldn’t get myself to do them, which is totally okay!
Daily habits that didn’t work for me:
- Cooking challenge
- Take pictures
- Write a blog post
- Bullet journal
- Be in bed by 10pm
- Eat 3 full meals
- Log Budget
- Discover new music
- Study notes
- Keep car clean
Now I want to focus on goals I accomplished throughout 2018:
- I graduated!
- Got accepted into every school I applied to
- Picked a college!
- Got a new job
- Made money on my blog
- Got out of a bad relationship
- Established a support system (so so important!)
- Bought my Apple Watch
- Paid off my car!
- Took a trip to Pittsburgh
- Did a guest post on my blog
- Had my grad party
- Started up my Instagram!
A lot of really great things happened in 2018, and I can definitely say it is the year I am most proud of. Not only did I choose a college, but I also got into each of the schools I applied to.
Financially I was at the best place I’ve ever been in- I had a good amount in savings, I was able to pay for bills and commitments while also having money leftover, and also had money to spend on spoiling friends and family.
One of the biggest accomplishments of 2018 was the progress I made in my relationships. In terms of friends, I established such a great group of friends and let go of anyone who I felt wasn’t a positive influence. I also ended a relationship with someone I was dating almost all four years of high school. Making this decision was one of the best things I have ever done for myself.
As for my blog, I also had a lot of mini successes. For starters, I actually started posting regularly; that was huge. I became extremely active on social media, and was posting regularly on there too. I was taking pictures almost everyday and gained over 400 followers in only 2-3 months. That might not seem like a lot, but to me- that was a huge success!
Overall 2018 was a highly successful year to me, and one that I will often look to for inspiration and motivation. There’s a lot that I learned over those twelve months and I hope to bring over the same habits with me over to 2019.
See you all in my next post! Happy Wednesday!
